For Today – My Confessions

Vrijdagavond 15 april bezocht ik een concert van de band For Today in de Kulttempel in Oberhausen. Dat de band Silent Planet, die ik in december al live zag bij Christmas Rock Night, bij de tour inbegrepen zat was zeker geen straf. Maar was toch vooral benieuwd naar een live show van For Today. De vorige lyric post ging over As I Lay Dying, inmiddels een omstreden band in de christelijke wereld. Het tegenovergestelde is waar van For Today. Zij staan voor hun geloof en de songteksten zijn niet vaag of op meerdere manieren te interpreteren. Zo ook niet het nummer My Confessions. Toepasselijk dacht ik, voor de periode tussen Pasen en Pinksteren.
