Vandaag wederom muziek ivm mijn verblijf in zonnige oorden. Daar is ook Len, al gaat hij morgen weer huiswaarts. Wij mogen nog even blijven. In 2014 verscheen de band '68 aan de horizon met hun album In Humor and Sadness (4,5/5 op JFH). Frontman Josh Scogin (voormalig Norma Jean, The Chariot) wist iets nieuws neer te zetten met een indrukwekkende variatie aan muzikale stijlen.
Recent was het tijd voor het 'follow-up' album; op 2 juni kwam Two Parts Viper (4,5/5 op JFH) uit. Josh vertelt in dit interview over de verschillende tracks. Mij sprak de single 'This Life Is Old, New, Borrowed and Blue' wel aan. Toegeven, met de tekst kan je niet direct uit de voeten. Maar ter afwisseling van de meer gebruikelijke herrie dacht ik: why not?
