Meerdere keren zag ik Flatfoot 56 live tijdens het jaarlijkse Christmas Rock Night festival in Duitsland. En wat is dat genieten zeg. Al vanaf het eerste akkoord op de gitaar is het één groot feest. Gooi d'r een ukulele en een doedelzak bij en je hebt non-stop chaos, en niet alleen voorin het midden (moshpit). Ik ben met m'n 32 natuurlijk niet de jongste meer en houdt zoiets geen uur meer vol (if ever), maar niettemin hoop ik ze binnenkort weer eens live te zien. Eerder dit jaar bracht Flatfoot 56 hun nieuwe album Odd Boat uit met daarop veel moois, waaronder het nummer Penny. Heel mooi, de vrouwelijke zang in het tweede deel van het nummer. "Your worth is so much more then others can see". Fijne Bevrijdingsdag!
